Wow, really? Any news on if it's going to be ported to the states or elsewhere? I still gotta take a look at those other two links, so I may have missed that.I can't help but be a little surprised to see an AC5. AC4 and it's sequel didn't really tickle my fancy much. AC:FA was just "ok" to me. I could ramble on for hours why, but it basically just boils down to me being a bitter fanboy that yearns for the old AC days :P. Then again, you certainly can't gauge the game's popularity and surprise at a subsequent sequel in a country where said game isn't nearly as popular as it is in Japan. And so, my surprise at a sequel has just now dissipated :P I gotta say, even though I didn't get all that much play out of AC4, I'm pretty stoked to see this. Part of the reason why is because I didn't get a chance to play AC4 until later since I didn't have access to a next-gen console. So I was sorta left out in the dark on much of the community-flavored side of the game. But with a brand new game coming out, if I can get my hands on it in a timely manner, and if it doesn't totally suck, I might just get back into the swing of things. The screenshots look pretty promising, but you can only tell so much from a screenshot. Well thanks for posting this Virulent. I don't really check any of the existing AC boards anymore, so I probably wouldn't have noticed this for a while longer otherwise. Speaking of which, is ACO dead? That's the place I would usually come across information like this. IP: Logged |

Over Weapon system? One-hit kills? Ehhh...I dunno, sounds odd to me, at least the way I'm envisioning it. I thought the speed was one saving grace of AC4 and FA, especially since NX to LR felt much slower than they could have. But now it seems they want to shift their focus on heavy weaponry and destruction over pure speed. Why not just balance the two? Heh, I dunno. I'll save my judgments for when I'm better informed.IP: Logged |

The one hit kills has me thinking too. As long as FROM brings back the lock box, I think I can live with the one hit weapons. Also, it would be nice to have small maps again that is more complex. From what I'm reading it seem that way. You can hide in dark corners with out a radar giving you up unless the enemy has a clear viewing of you. But like you said we know nothing for the most part and we all know how a AC video can mislead us.Also FROM is known to make more problems before fixing one.------------------ Drink from the fountain of decay IP: Logged | |
