Thanks Greysoule for posting up the original design!Apparently the above design is a Silent Line reinvent since a handful of the parts are SL-specific. If you ask me it's not much of an improvement over the AC3 original; looks more like a 'filler' design than anything XD. Anyways, I've been re-reading all of the T&T issues I've saved to look at all the old designs (I've got issues 93-102, 102 being the sad issue where Pat had to end Hard Core; there's a thank you note at the bottom of page 87 ;_ ; ). Issue 102 covered the 4th annual Game-Hits Game Store Armored Core tournament, and I believe the designs featured are the winners of the tournament. It covers AC3 and, surprisingly and awesomely, MoA...with a total of 5 designs being featured. One of which, Doom Comet, is probably one of my favorite designs every featured in Hard Core. Issue 93, I think, was the first issue which featured AC3 designs. I could be mistaken, but I believe AC3 was released right about this time; there's some information about the then-new Exceed Orbit system and the functions of OP-I and how to enable all of them. Another one of my favorite designs was featured in this issue as well named Revenant X. I was actually having trouble beating one of the Arena rankers at the time and this design helped me out greatly in progressing in the arena and missions. I'd be nice if I could get back-issues of T&T with the other Hard Core's in it (if I knew which issue is started anyways...does anyone know?). It really sucks that Hard Core was ended right as SL was released, which could be argued that is one of the best AC games released. The massive number of parts alone would have made for some tough competition to getting a design in the mag. But alas, that's they way it goes I suppose. The eventual release of Nexus probably would have killed it anyways :P ------------------ Mekworx [This message has been edited by Mechadon (edited March 21, 2008).] [This message has been edited by Mechadon (edited March 21, 2008).] IP: Logged | |
