Lupus was in his room, his piano playing softly as he attempted work the melody in his head. His fingers slightly spread over the black and white ivory keys, his head bowed low while whispering. The sun was set low, the sky was becoming enveloped in darkness as reds and blues fought with each other over who would rule the skys in this moment. The apartment was small and seated within the house's basement, a little one room studio thing. It was a bit run down with it's dusty stairs and old style electric wiring, but for the price and ability to put his down at nice safely, it worked so far.

The children hadn't been sleeping well, and in truth, neither had his wife or him. Then it had stumbled upon him, and he gave a smile while telling his small loving family he would be paying a visit back to an old home. They had all hugged him, Sonja looked deeply into his eyes, warning him and wishing him best of luck with whatever it was he was doing in their own specail way. Going back and forth to an small park miles away from them, he drew a melody to cascade within his ears, hammering it untill too much and forcing him to go to his getaway home to give it life.

His eyes were sunk in, his fingers digging into the grand scale of notes before him, deciding this song would be rather odd from him. He sang and played for Sonja on occasion, but had been a long time since he had done so. He was working hard at the AC Repair Shop, and when not there his advancements to his own mech, tuning the OS to the new system he had put in, H-3...

He lifted his voice, slamming the keys in time as he played slowly. This song would be very simple indeed, but then again he knew his family loved such. Too much or too little often left them wishing for more. His son Brian wanted to listen to his father play as his mother sang in her angelic voice, but for now this song was in development stages and hence without his loving partner's grace. His strong baritone voice was rather sleepy, the smile upon his face spoke of meories blooming behind his eyes as he played on, this song seeming to be oddly uplifting, but having a small quality to those whose lives and emotions were in tune with it: his lullaby would make someone remember the feeling of being alone.

He was halfway asleep, his memories taking him back to the first night Sonja had spent with him. They had both been emotional, and needed each other's support. Too many things had happened, and a moment's peace was sorely needed.

"How fitting...I will need to let you here this Love..."

Taking his hands away from the melody, the tired man took a sip of clear fresh cool water that had been sitting upon the piano, which had now would have formed a water ring were it not for the deep midnight blue coaster he had aptly placed beneath the cupspot. Letting the fluid cool his tired warm head, he took but one more attempt at his song:

"Goodnight"

Goodnight, sleep tight
No more tears
In the morning I'll be here
And when we say goodnight,
Dry your eyes
Because we said goodnight,
And not goodbye
We said goodnight
And not goodbye
