One thing though that struck me. Shawn actually had me planned to work there way before I was actually asked to? I remember that faithful Saturday. It was around a year ago from this month and about 30-40 people were in the store. Some with giant boxes, others waiting in line for their purchases. Here I was sitting on behind the counter fiddling around with the computer watching Shawn struggle with customers, seeing that he was the only one working. Out of the goodness of my heart I turned around in the chair and said "Shawn, do you need some help?" Seeing as I knew a lot about the store already through Dayne and observing, I could make myself useful some way. Imediatly Shawn jumped on the idea and gave me the famous chart of games and I got to work. About a hour later the hell had dimmed down and Shawn thanked me. Eventually he repaiad me by giving me a Gundam Wing DVD I ordered from him for free. It was well worth it. Ever once in awhile he would mention something about me coming to work for him. At first I didn't take him serious. However when Dayne quit I got a phone call from Shawn in July. Shawn sparked up a conversation then mentioned if I wanted to work for him. Well, I did what Matt did and said "yes." Finally, something I was good at and something I enjoyed! No more coffee crap for me. So history was writen and now I am a part time worker of Game Hits Gamestore.

GAME HITS
Well, the store is still where it's been at since the last posting in the thread. Still there on West Saginaw, but upstairs now and looks much nicer than when it was in the basement. Over the last six years since this thread was posted, the ever-changing lineup of employees has included myself, Russell, Jake, Dayne, "Handlebars", Lou, some girls that Tom hired or something, and probably random people I don't know. Apparently, from what Jake tells me, the store makes pretty damn good money now, even at the hands of burglars and The Kool-Aid Man.

RUSSELL
Former Game Hits employee extraordinare now works to support his girlfriend and child and rarely plays videogames, except for on his busted DS. He is still Mexican and still cannot drive.

JAKE
Jake is still the only person, besides Shawn of course, that works at the Game Hits Gamestore. He is currently studying to be a lawyer at Michigan State University. He also finally stopped talking about Final Fantasy 7 and admitted that he is probably a closet homosexual.

SHAWN
Still ownin' da store and living large, dawg. Uh, I don't exactly know what's been going on with him since I don't really get a chance to see him much anymore since I don't got time to wander in like I used to. Care to elaborate?

BRYCE
I have no idea, really. I had no idea what this guy was doing six years ago, either.

DAYNE
He's, uh, married and like, bisexual or something. Long ways from hitting two deer in one fell swoop with his Camero, I tell you what.

NATE
He has since bought his own house in south Lansing and err.... Well, he has lots of toys too.

MATT C.
Played lots of fighting games until his girlfriend had a child too. I have no idea what's going on now, except for that he probably still plays lots of fighting games .

HEATH
He has accepted both Russ and myself as roommates here in his house. However, Russ ended up moving out not too long ago because of the whole baby thing and so it's just me and him now. He also bought Sonic the Hedgehog on the 360.

TAIYON
I have no idea except for posting bulletins on MySpace saying silly things like how Alice In Chains was most influential band of the 90's. lol whateva

MATT K.
Working security and, because of that, watches a lot of TV on DVD. Also loves the Wii. I think the Wii-mote is probably grafted to his right hand.

ROB
Well, I'll let him go into this one...

CARL
I currently work in the Mental Health field, both here and in Florida for almost two years. Oh yeah, I moved to Florida and lived there for a while, moved back, and have had my driver's license suspended in two states, as Jake likes to point out quite often. Currently residing in Heath's house and studying to become an EMT. Oh, and I like punching stuff and am looking to get better at it. Holla.

I grow suspiscion he may be homosexual, as he has advertised his extrodinarily small penis to my myspace page. It was so pathetic that I didn't even accept the comment.

Shawn- Still fun to argue with!

Russ- I thought he died in a foxhole with Pat in Nam' but apparently I haven't seen him around because of things going on in his personal life. Yes, he is still Mexican.

Bryce- The veil of mystery that shrouds this individual shall remain a mystery. We ninjas tend to keep our secrets safe with one another, as well as our twice baked lasagna recipes.

Dayne- Couldn't believe he was getting married last time I seen him. Oh my how they grow up so quickly...

Nate- Haven't seen him in a while either.

Matt C.- Has cut his beard. He sort of scares bystanders and young children like Q whenever we go out. Still manages to get some 3's in with me or other Capcom fighters.

Heath- Lives with Carl. I wonder if they are like them 2 guys in Boosom Buddys?

Taiyon- Rumored to join the military, pics confirm. Now being used as GI Joes secret weapon against Cobra.

Matt K.- Works screwy hours like me, so we don't get to hang out a lot. Movie fanatic. Wii fanatic. Funny ass dude.

Rob- Ok, I'll field this one. When he met the crew he was married, but things changed. He also didn't have a bunch of tattoos, that changed as well. All he does is watch man sex in closets at work and sleeps during the day. When he has time to himself, he is usually trying to get things right with his gf, drinking with Bryce and Matt, or having a various gang of nizzas at the crib. Something like that.

Pat- Did he die in Nam? SEND IN TAIYON TO RESCUE!!!!

I remember meeting Matt K., Russ, and pat when I heard about a trip to michigans adventure or dave and busters or somethin (BAD memory) on the forum. I had you guys drop me off at the mall instead (LAME).

Met Shawn at the store when I was like sixteen after seeing that sweet psychodelic comercial with jet moto or wave race 64 on it. Bought alot of games there and eventually got a job for two weeks. Then I got fired for firin' one up behind the store. Dayne promised not to tell. bastard.

Dayne I met at a cvs2 tourny, also met some others. beat 'em all down. Jake was the worst . I won that tourny with a bee sting on my thumb. jake gave me a ride and can attest to that.

Met chris tucker when I went to his house after he posted about a capcom fighters party. I was the only one who showed. He is the first of you guys I met besides shawn. Not a good PR rep. I later described him as "not that nerdy" to convince dan and tony to hang with him. They still call me out on that.

Bryce I met at Robs fight club, Rob too. They beat me down left and right. That was the first time I played alex in 3s, and the man crush persists to this day. Later that week I took 2nd place in the tourny while Trigon talked about owning the air like a street fighter helicopter. Now he is a newb like everyone else (Lansing Ownes).

Russ I'm not sure, I just remember him being very ornry and condensending. Don't know why the hell I tried to befriend that dude, to this day he looks at me like I'm a wanna be tampon that can only soak up kool aid. Hope fatherhood as matured you bro, honestly. It has matured me alot.

Carl i think was at a tourny too. nice f'n guy.

Heath and nate. tourny. I remember getting pissed cuz heath said my girlfriend had a lisp. and i was all like "whatever wheres your girlfriend" he just cracked up and told me to settle down. good guy, fun to play V.F. with. Nate hooked me up with a cool little dreamcast disk once with a bunch of nintendo games on it. still see them both around, and they are still good peeps.

All in all I'm glad I met all you guys, for the most part, you've all been pretty cool, and Rob and Bryce have become good friends of mine.

As for me, aside from scaring bystanders and small children, and yelling an occasianal "**** THAT GUY" to chicks while pointing at there boyfriends, all I do is work at meijer wherehouse, take care of my daughter and have a beer now and again with friends. I also own a television I cant afford.

So my life consists of work, fatherhood, geometry wars, and beer. And of course I still love and play fighters whenever I can.

I forgot about nevins. Met you when you were like 11. You had alot of cool ****.
