U.S. Households See Though the Smoke of Violence and Video Games

While reading my latest issue of Gameweek Magazine I was comforted to learn that a recent survey conducted by Alden & Associates, revealed that video games are not seen as the most likely link to youth violence.  The survey taken by the California based marketing research firm asked 1,000 adults in U.S. households what they felt was the biggest influence on youth when it comes to violence and juvenile delinquency.

Fortunately it seems that the majority knows who is really to fault, and that would be......anyone, that's right FAMILY.  56.3% of those surveyed said that it is the family that is the biggest influence.  This was followed by television at 19.2%, movies at 13.1%, video games was at only 7.9%, other at 2.9% and comic books were only at .5%
