DOA 3 Tournament Wrap Up

The format for this tournament was as follows;  3 pools of players play everyone else in there pool.  The best winning record automatically advances to the finals.  The second best record goes to a wild card pool.  The third best would advance to the Last chance pool.  In the last chance pool only one would advance to the wild card pool.  In the wild card pool the top two would advance to the finals.   The winner would be determined by another round robin in the final pool.  Here are the results;

This pool featured two real powerhouses of the game Jake and Fat.  Jake was able to beat Fat and go on to the finals.  This would force Fat to fight his way into the finals in the Wild card pool.

Last Chance 

Josh was able to beat both Rich and David.  Josh moved on to the wild card pool.

Wildcard Pool 

After losing to Jake in the prelims.  Fat would have his rematch.  Taiyon would also get a second shot at Adam who beat him out in the prelims.

Final Pool 

For the whole tournament matches were two out of three games.  Here in the finals I listed the results.  This was a battle of the rematches.  Taiyon beat out Adam who had beat him in the prelims.  This allowed him to have third place. Fat was able to end Jake's rein as Champion as he beat him 2/1 in the finals after loosing to Jake in the prelims.  Even though Adam didn't win a match he did get one win against everyone. 

Congrats to Fat for his second tournament win.  (He won a DOA2 last year.)  Thanks to everyone who came out.
