Ultimate Tournament Wrap Up

With the Ultimate tournament finally done here are the results as the smoke cleared. The Brackets are set up to have 32 people (16 in each set) Due to a few extra people here is how they were fit in. The first example is Nathan Vs. Josh K. The winner of this match (Nathan) is in green, and Josh is in red. Nathan was the one who went on to face Chris T. I hope that is a good enough explanation, because I am not going to explain it any more than that. In the end it was agreed to make this double elimination.

I had to laugh to my self as I thought about the humor in this bout that featured the two people who had three letter names. I don't remember too much of this bout but I do know that in the end VDO was the winner.

Second Round Finals Dan Vs. Dre

Since we had 37 people we made it double elimination. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to finish at the store.

Dan Vs. Dre was a dead even match until both players were on there last characters. Then Dre pulled away to win with Balrog (Vega in America)

Finals

VDO Vs. Dre

This was a very good final. VDO's team of Rock, Joe, and Geese would face Dre's Blanka, Sagat, and Balrog. Blanka would take out Rock with half his life remaining.

Right after this Blanka kicked Rock to knock him out.

Dre had the early lead but VDO came out aggressively with Joe and Quickly dispensed of Blanka making it an even match again. Then Sagat came out and had Joe on the ropes and almost had him, but Joe parried Sagat's special, and changed the momentum of the match. Joe then eliminated Sagat.

Owch!!

After this Dre would make a come back and using Balrog to take out Joe. Then it came down to Geese and Balrog. While it was close VDO would take top honors by winning with just under 1/4 his life left.
